Actors: bad luck omens before the play
It is bad luck to:
- Receive a bouquet at the stage door before the play begins.
- Have loops in a drop curtain
- Look at the audience from the wrong side of the drop curtain when it is down.
- Knit on or beside the stage.
- Quote the last word of a forthcoming play.
